- Sarva
Shiksha Abhiyan chooses MCBS for EDUSAT
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a programme for
universal elementary education under the MHRD. Another goal of
S.S.A is to bridge social, regional and gender gaps in education
with the active participation of the community in the management
of schools.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan has placed an initial order of 338 systems
with MCBS for supply of ROT systems to various schools in its
efforts to promote modern teaching methods to the rural parts.
The supply for the systems is being carried out in Nizamabad district
of Andhra Pradesh in implementation phase.
- MCBS bags order for
EDUSAT, Kerala
The Kerala Govt. has taken up an ambitious
drive for making education more accessible with strong impetus
on training teachers and students uniformly. As a part of EDUSAT
in the state of Kerala, MCBS has carried out a pilot project of
128 systems with a supply of 90 cms antenna (ROT) systems at various
primary schools.
- MCBS completes supplies
& installation of 1500 systems in schools of Gujarat
Under the Gujarat phase of EDSAT project in Gujarat, MCBS has
supplied more than 1500 systems to various primary and secondary
schools all across Gujarat. 90 cms antenna (ROT) systems along
with various types of Set-top-boxes and P.C. cards have been supplied
to individual schools for the purpose of viewing EDUSAT Schoolnet
channels.
- IGNOU Chooses
MCBS for its DRS all across India
IGNOU is one of the key members of the
EDUSAT Project for spreading education all across India. It transmits
Gyan Darshan channels in C-band platform. MCBS has supplied IGNOU
8ft and 12 ft DRS systems to various institutions like IGNOU Study
Centers, D.I.E.T. Centers, S.S.A. units, I.I.T.s and other institutions
affiliated to the distance education from IGNOU.
- MCBS Joins Hands
with A.P. Govt. for APNET
Under the auspices of World Bank with
the sole purpose of taking quality education to the foot steps
of the rural Andhra Pradesh the government of Andhra Pradesh has
initiated an Integrated Satellite Network called APNET (Andhra
Pradesh Network).
MCBS has done a pilot project of supplying 161 systems at various
locations across the state of A.P. With the grand success of the
implementation of the pilot phase the project has been expanded
to 1597 systems to mandals, schools, junior colleges, govt. colleges,
etc throughout A.P. MCBS has supplied and completed AMC for the
last four years for APNET in Andhra Pradesh.
- MCBS completes
supplies & AMC of Orissa GRAMSAT project
The Govt. of Orissa had planned to connect
all the District Rural Development Agencies, Block Offices, Gram
Panchayat Offices so that the backward and the forward districts
are connected and there is uniform dissemination of information.
The main focus has been to provide a medium so that the framer
gets all the information so that there is an overall upliftment
of the society.
MCBS has installed more than 500 systems at backward areas like
Kalahandi and Nawarangpur at various DRDA, BDO and GP offices.
